What would you do first on Dawntrail?

i will not be waiting for plugins to update because using such things is against the rules and i would never break the rules

what i will be doing first is waiting for the login servers to chill i dont wanna be stuck in another 10+hour que like i was in endwalker

We are getting FATEs, so it will. They had to add the Shared FATE reward system because nobody saw the point in doing FATEs for experience anymore and that has not changed.

My recommendations are:

• Close discord (or at least disable all notifications in all of the user settings, all overlays, desktop notifications, sounds and keep to servers you know won't have spoilers).
• Don't check youtube, twitter, facebook, or anywhere. I often struggle to avoid checking YouTube. One time I caught a glimpse of Crown of the Immaculate in my feed mid-MSQ.
• If you have social media alerts that could spoil from these locations, either disable phone notifications entirely or don't check your phone.
• World Visit to the most dead DC/server (such as Dynamis) so you don't see endgame mounts everywhere that could spoil.
• Disable all titles and minion nameplates in case they imply anything.
• Reduce character and object rendering to Minimum.

These forums usually go silent for several days. The most spoilery posts you usually find on release is in the bug and localization forums, just reporting honest bugs that have been observed, or more specific forums complaining about job changes as usual.

Do MSQ as red mage, then work on getting white mage levelled as well.

Try on all the new glamours at the marketboard.

Unlock pictomancer and viper on various characters.

Finally get to play around with scouting glamours on a few characters that never unlocked ninja previously.

first i will do khloes twice for schoolar, just because i can

after that i'm gonna do the msq and any yellow quest as soon as i can do them to get as much lore as possible on dragoon.

and then im propably gonna lvl viper through fates.... yes... fates

Depends on how bad the log in queues are.

If the queues are bad then I'm going to feel pressured into focusing on dailies/weeklies and then the MSQ.

Play with the new 2 channel dye system for like the first day (at least for my (Nin/scouting glams) and play around with whatever system changes they put out , will prolly look over Viper and see how it plays and decide if I want to run the msq with it ( if they don't botch Nin like the always do at the beginning of every expansion)

question for all as the title says, what would you do first when dawntrail comes? Leveling your classes or do msq first? For me ima be leveling (reaper and viper . Might switch to Viper for dawntrail and see how that class plays out ) then onto new msq taking my time enjoying the sceneries and exploring not rushing to endgame! Also ima be leveling Trusts too if they gonna get a level cap raised to 100 cus no queue waiting time XD

unlike shb and ew i will sadly not be rushing to preorder / buy Dawntrail. i am much more hesitant after the mess of 6.1 on. and i would want to see what others say before rushing in

I will be doing the story on Reaper, and then levelling crafters and gatherers alongside that.

Personally, the new jobs aren't interesting enough to me to delay doing the story.

Obvious answer, do the MSQ. Because even if I end up hating it, almost everything else is locked behind finishing the story. That's if I even end up buying DT.

MSQ first, definitely. I went through the previous MSQ entirely as Dragoon but I may break it up a bit and do Paladin for at least some of it. Time will tell for sure on that.

After that, level up all remaining jobs. Gatherers/crafters will probably wait until the appropriate Beast Tribe rep grinds are introduced.
