The secret is they will do 7 zones for a change.

Another interesting point is the north has been lacking in aether for so long and it looks as if Solution Nine has been sucking it all up, doesn't it?
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.

Mercydia, considering it was marked on the updated world map for jp fanfest
Given I have never once had even the slightest clue what the final zone will be, I am sure it'll be something that never crossed my mind. We'll be venturing up a chocobo's butt or something.
The city of Zuldazar
looking at the map again, I almost wonder if its somewhere near the bottom of the new world.
That would actually be incredible. I have always wanted them to do that again, because even though the Doman Enclave itself wasn't a zone, it is a third city that we had to rebuild, and it was awesome. I want a new secret like that. It broke the mold of a typical expansion. Stormblood is to this day the only expansion that had 6 zones, and THREE cities. No I'm not counting Ala Mhigo. They really should have given it proper city state access by the end of the expansion.

It could be, but we have 3 zones to the south of the New World already, and only 2 in the north. So it seems logical the third would be in the north as well.
However, given the video I linked has trees and grass it also doesn't fit in that barren desert land in the north, so maybe. It's also possible the north east area isn't as barren.
I mean, if you count the Doman Enclave then we should count Terncliff in Shadowbringers.
Arguably, the beast tribes have introduced new areas like that too, such as Lyhe Mheg and the Elysian fields.
It's going to be Dream Zanarkand
I am betting on a new planet, as an introduction to cosmic explorations.
