Did solution 9 reveal like a jump the shark moment yesterday?

I thought it looked neat but my interest will plummet if it has anything to do with Ascians, Garleans, or Allagans.

Those have been played out, but I’ve been cautiously optimistic given that I don’t think they’ve been associated with any of the announced main or side content yet.

the "sudden drastic shift in narrative tone and spacial location" is a FF staple, even FF1 had us go to a modern-day space station at the end. i'm not opposed to it off principle, moreso just hoping the narrative in there is engaging enough to justify itself.

People have already identified the text used in Solution 9 as "proto-alphabet" which is seen in the Unsundered World, Pandaemonium, and the Moon.
The sigil on the Arcadion concept art is also very similar to Altima's sigil, although this one is more speculation (good speculation) than the hard evidence of the "proto-alphabet"

i will say there are many ascians only emet was allagan we can always get another ancient that was on a side or maybe no side and they used their power to make a civilization and not use it to do evil, i feel solution 9 is what could have happened with allagan if emet's plan wasn't to kill them off.

i will also say i feel its weird out of all the ancients that got sundered they never decided to settle down and make a new world/ civilization for themselves and all chose evil. so i think it would be cool to find out there was another faction that was ok with everything and decided to become part of the new world/worlds instead of choosing to burn it down.

People also pass things along without verification. I am still trying to track down where the text actually might be used because I have no memory of seeing text in any of the World Unsundered areas – which is not to say that it isn't clearly the alphabet just recently snuck into EE3 as hypothetically the one used in the ancient world, because it is, but even so that doesn't confirm the city is Ancient. They may have simply retained or revived use of the script somehow, and it's just a big red herring like "Master Matoya" in the Shadowbringers trailer.

Thus far the only place I have confirmed that the alphabet is used is in the background during Thaliak's arena-shift phase. It's mostly numbers and maths equations but there are a few strings of text mixed in.

Someone else mentioned that it is specifically in the Loporrits' "on air" sign for their radio show in the crafter questline.

I agree. I personally am excited to meet another Ascian. There is a few of them we have absolutely zero idea what happened to them (Altima, Halmarut, Deudalaphon, Pashtarot) and I think it is very lazy writing to let a loose end of that magnitude go. They can pull a Gaius and kill them off screen, but people have always been doubtful that the Ascians on his belt were actually perma killed in the first place, because it makes no sense that Gaius could kill a red masked Ascian. In my opinion, the only non-lazy way to address the 2-4 powerhouses wandering around is head on.

I would be thrilled to meet an Altima who screwed off to her corner of the world and made a city. I would love for one of them to be chill and just want to be left alone. I always thought Altima was a good contender for that since she is "The Advocate of the Arts". I've also seen some theories brought up about Deudalaphon (since he is "The Engineer"), but I don't see the connection between their sigils.

No it didnt because literally this was the same feeling with Azys Lla in Heavensward and Amaurot in Shadowbringers.
