Agreed, I have similar frustrations with glamming Paladin, I think a lot of the melee (a lot maiming that remove shoulder pads ect), gear just looks better, I want my character to wear armor but at the same time a lot of tank gear is just big shoulder pads that look yikes. Theirs not a lot of tank glams that fill the niche of looking tank like but not awful massive shoulder pads gear, especially just looks odd on my character personally. as I'd like more light weight Armor, which a lot of melee's already get :/
I mean if I can tank in some casual glam I don't see issues with a Tank wearing something more lighter on armor or a Healer wearing something with more Armor ect. I think being able to mix and match some gear sets would also in general just improve glam options. I've even seen crafter and gatherer sets that would look nice for a certain class, but that's never gonna be used for combat either.
More freedom in glam is only a positive, we've already passed the bridge of what looks "realistic" for a tank, healer, caster ect. So theirs zero reason why you shouldn't be able to just use glams that aren't made for your role type, I wonder why the current glam system is still very restricting honestly, I'm already very picky when it comes to glams I try to make them make sense in the world but theirs already enough issues with tail/hair clipping this restricted system just makes it even more frustrating for me.
