I haven't played FFIV and I don't feel like I missed out on anything when it comes to the post-EW story. I still enjoyed it just fine.

The trails. RUBICANTE EX - enough said. only 2 good trails came out of this tier. Barbarriccia EX and Hydaelyn ex, with golbez a close 3rd.

Wont really touch on the others. But the EXs, to me, have been what has kept me engaged recently. And, especially, for my DC, it's really broadened the number of people I know, which has opened up other possibilities, like having a static for Aloalo Criterion. The only "bad" one, for me, was Endsinger. Got my mount early so didn't have to farm it to fully get the memory mechanic. Zodiark is a bit... average towards boring? But every other one I enjoy doing.

lol no. Endwalker is a complete JRPG experience with fantastic story from start to finish.

Ok just because it had some bad content choices it does not mean it's unfinished. I am not EW's biggest fan but when I think about an unfinished game I think of maybe Cyberpunk 2077 on release or Fallout 76. Endwalker was how it was intended to be delievered, and I don't see Yoshi P regretting anything so far.

I think Endwalker, as the expansion in and of itself, was a great product and a good capstone to the legacy of the game's major story arc. I enjoyed it, and it's something I'll always love.

I think the patch cycle has been lackluster in major ways, and I hope they course correct in Dawntrail; I have many criticisms of this game over this expansion's history, but I think saying it's an "unfinished product" is both unfair and untrue, and undermines the many criticisms of the game that should have a light shone on them by cheapening the conversation and poisoning the well.
