I tanked an Orbonne the other day that had 5 SAMs in our party. Had the whole squad in one group.

Two stories.

1. Thaleia, as a BLM.
   

   Actually from last week. The run itself wasn't anything special. It was the player---specifically speaking the SGE in my party---that made this run... different. They zoned in admitting not intending to queue as a healer.
   
   Run was proceeding as normal until Thaliak's spinny arena mech. It was my intention to stick on the middle then Aetherial Manipulation to a safe member, but they were too quick to decide to not trust me by rescuing me well before the castbar even filled by half. Okay well whatever. I dropped [Aetherial Manipulation] auto-translate in chat to tell them I'm fine. Just let me do my thing. I'm consistently holding my #2 enmity spot, rarely drop uptime, do not miss any stack marker, and was almost never hit by mech until the very last 0.3% of last boss. Nah, guess what, let's keep rescuing hahaha. They dropped a "lol BLM pingpong" when they somehow managed to rescue me just as I was going to Aetherial Manipulation to a complete opposite side of the last boss' arena.
   
   Was fun to watch them run around like headless chicken & warm the floor a couple of times though. Perhaps should've focused on yourself more than worrying about the other there, m'lady.

2. The Vault, as a GNB.
   

   SGE friend dc at 45% of Charibert's health. RDM died at 40%. NIN died at 37%. Soloed the rest of the boss with the help of potions and everything I've got. I was just about 3-4 AAs away from wiping. Feels great.

My turn for being a problem...

I was in Titan Ex MINE (ARR) on my alt. First as BLM, then as RPR.

I don't know whether it was me, whether it was a latency thing, or a bit of both (probably both), but I could not avoid the puddles. I was being one shotted pretty much every time they appeared. I seemed like I was clear by the time they disappeared, and the only time I could avoid them is if I had memorised exactly when they would appear and start moving moments before. Occasionally I'd dodge them, but mostly I was getting burned.

It was a horror show. I switch to RPR because I figured Hells Ingress might help, which it did - a bit. Until I accidentally hit Hells Egress instead, throwing me into the bad. At which point, someone said to me, "I really don't know what to say". I only had one reply, "nor do I". I'd clocked up 22 deaths in a little over an hour, exhausting both my patience and the patience of my group. Despite giving me a lot of encouragement, I don't know how nobody lost their rag. If anyone recognises this group and you were in it, thanks for your patience. lol

Possibly my worst Ex experience, made all the worse by not really knowing whether I just needed to get better, or whether it was something technical. But either way, a rubbish experience.

I did an MSQ roulette yesterday. We got Prae. Wonderful... So I try to start conversations by saying, "Hello." Silence... I'm like, alright, this is going to be a boring run. Tank and DPS start zooming. Ok, I like this pace. We blast through all of it. During one of the cutscenes, I push my luck with a "How's everyone doing today?" I'm just trying to be social. This is an mmorpg. Silence... Eh, at least they are moving at mach speed. We get to Nero. They are melting him, and then the one dps dies. I looked over, and they were standing in the electricity. So I resurrect them. And they do it again. And now the other DPS does it as well. The boss is at like 10% HP at this point. The tank starts running him in circles. So I have to kill him. I was dpsing the whole time, but now it's just my dps. So I kill it. Cutscene, and then they start running the wrong way. Needless to say, I wasn't into being trolled, so I left. I'll take the 30-minute penalty. I blacklisted the lot of them. I just don't get it. If you wanted to blast through Prae blast through it. Don't troll me at the end. I don't even know you. It honestly made me not want to queue for the rest of the night.

I finally ran into my first YPYT person in about 1 year and half of play! Now I can say I definitely lost me sprout : )

We zone in Ktisis and say the usual greetings. Then before the first pack of mobs I hit my jump on dragoon, hit arms lenght and backflip out when they get slowed. Dancer and Healer are right behind. Tank pulls the usual, drop their stance and stays looking while we fight. When we finish the first pack we ask "Tank?" they hit Return and suspiciously suffer from a DC. We keep hitting single pulls until the timer comes up and they get kicked, and then pull until first boss when we get another tank, who gladly plays smooth and without an overblow ego. Reported and blacklisted
