Reminds me of one of my old neighbors flipping out at me because I gave one of the small owners a bunch of lakeland flower gardens and so they ended up surrounded by purple yard houses.

You can't control how your neighbors decorate as long as they are glitching decorations into the street or whatever.

The ginger bread house might stand out from the crowd, but it's not obnoxiously blocking the view of the lighthouse, or the island on the horizon. The plot I picked, we were already here before these people moved in, well before actually. The view was quite good until then. The only attitude problem I see is the person that would completely remove an item from the game. That's not what I'm asking for here. I'm asking for it to be limited, to one per property, so that toxic uses of it like this cannot be done anymore. If they were only able to place one instead of fifteen of them, they'd have a heck of a hard time pulling this stunt. My request still stands. I've more than valid enough reason to make said request. We have a medium. I can't just whip another 19 million gil out of thin air, and medium plots are far more limited in number. I'm not going to downgrade our FC to a small just to get away from this. You must honestly believe money grows on trees to make a statement like "if you are not happy, time to move."

At least they're not Namazu Effigies. I once had a neighbour with 8 in their yard and all I could hear was loud creaking when I was outside. If anything needs a limit, it's those things.

I think that must be done on every item that makes "noises" not only Namazu Effigies.

Makes you wonder though how they actually decide what things they’re going to limit “one per estate.” Like the Starlight trees, for example, or indoor things like the Hades trophy… but 10 Namazu Effigies? Nah those are fine! lol

Id rather not have the creativity limited because some people dont like others housing placement. If they were to target something it would have to be housing add-ons itself, rather then individually target the symptom, they'd go straight for the root cause.

I can't see the ocean, or the lighthouse. The two main reasons for the plot we got in Shirogane.

if I could I would throw a choco carriage on cinder blocks if I could because you speak as if you’re complaining to an hoa

Most of the one per estate items are trial/raid trophies or items that have a function outside of housing (Summoning Bell and the like).

It's the noise of the Effigies that's the problem and the advantage to getting a plot that's a bit more isolated from its neighbors. If my neighbor wants to decorate with them, that's their business just as how I decorate my own yard is my business. If I'm allowed to dictate what they can or can't use, then they would have the same right to do the same with me. I'm good as long as I don't have to hear the noise.

More acting like they run a HOA. She didn't even take that screenshot from her plot. Here's a screenshot from her plot:

Note that the reason I'm standing on her fence is because if I was standing on the ground in the plot, I wouldn't be able to see the "offending" house thanks to the fence (she's using the bathhouse skin).

If she wants an unobstructed view of the ocean and lighthouse, all she needs to do is create roof access and sit up on the roof. The view would be far superior than any she'd be able to get from that rock even if the rest of the ward was empty.

We live directly across from the plot in question and I feel that if anyone has the right to be annoyed by them, it would be us. On the contrary, we don't! As stated above, they are fun loving and immeasurably goofy. Nothing is ever done in the name of being toxic. Honestly, having someone come down and stand in the street and do "fume" and "furious" over and over and over is far more obnoxious. Or better yet, when the OP comes into our yard to complain loudly about our neighbors to us before heavily hinting some of us should be their guinea pigs so they can flex in regular content. Had a good laugh at that one.

OP has told others in the Ward they hope the offenders get banned, have threatened the house in question with reporting them to a GM, etc etc. It's all rather silly and a rather stupid hill to die on. As someone already showed, that hill is not, in fact, owned by OP. They would not be able to see that lighthouse- I'm sorry, have you seen a real one? Faaaar better than some video game facsimile- from their property. When suggested they could stand on their roof to get a better view, they replied saying they shouldn't have to.

Our Ward is full of active FCs. It's quite a fun place to live and a great place to hang out. OP, however, has soured things considerably with how vocal they are. Shout chat hasn't been free of their ranting, either. I recall one occasion where OP peered down over the hill on a previous iteration of the house in question and saying something along the lines of "Thank god their house looks normal for once" in shout. Like... who made you the HoA?
