I was hoping it would end up in a moogle tome event or something. Oh well, guess I just won't have it.

They already talked about bringing back the FF15 ones and the Yokai has returned several times and rumored to be coming back again before Dawntrail. Why would they put those on the cash shop?I get it, people couldn't get it then during the timed collab and that sucks, but by that same logic, all ff15, dragon quest, yokai, etc. collabs should come to the store.
The only way FF14 can remedy this problem is making a slightly different version of the animation to bring to the store, this also includes any and all past collab items.
If we take a step further, if we're talking about timed exclusive items, bring back slightly different versions of the past seasonal feast rewards to the store because people will be sure to buy those in droves.
Some of the emotes I wasn't even able to get because the service you needed to use aren't even available in my area. Now, if I want, I can get them from the cash shop.
Yea, it's pretty terrible. Shame on you SE, SHAME

I don't know if that's the same product as we have in Canada, but if so, YES. For a frozen pizza it is top tier.
Also, IMO, with the way they botched the GrubHub promo, Square Enix should be completely disgraced to be charging money for the "eat pizza" emote after they screwed over so many people. They should just take the L, make the emote earnable in game, and move on. Try again when they can do better and not "run out of codes" on a virtual item with fake scarcity.
It would've been pretty much impossible to have a similar event in the EU, due to varying laws by country on these sorts of events. Having them tied to an Itinerant Moogle event would've resulted in it being completely unavailable after a short period, and necessitated a longer wait, as our next Itinerant Moogle event won't be for another few months.
The cash shop was the easiest and safest way to add it, and it means everyone who wants it can get it.
I don't really have a problem with collabs like this, but i really think some people dropped the ball on this one specifically, so I'm glad they brought it to the mogstation.
Journey to all fish: 1383/1729 (348 remaining) [79%]
and this right here is a perfect reason why they are adding more and more to the store and less to the game. we can't be there so let me throw money your way.I get it, people couldn't get it then during the timed collab and that sucks, but by that same logic, all ff15, dragon quest, yokai, etc. collabs should come to the store.
