Souls-likes are considered action-RPG's, so Lies of P is also considered an action-RPG.

"RPG" has lost a lot of meaning these days, but "action RPG" especially is now a nonsense catch-all term for basically anything you want. I'm sure there's somebody out there who will say their favourite "action RPGs" are God of War, Borderlands, Arkham City, Minecraft, and Mortal Kombat 11 story mode.

Lies of P is also nominated for RPG of the year making is abundantly clear the "jury" of voters have literally zero clue what the hell they are talking about. Lies of P is the best souls like game I have ever played and should be in action or action/adventure.

Yeah that one made me scratch my head a bit. Lies of P is an absolutely fantastic game. There's just not a lot of RP in there. So it was an odd choice for RPG instead of action/adventure.

Well, in all fairness once in a while you get a good slap at an awards show, you know, to spice things up a bit.

I dont expect FFXIV to win any this around, most of the competition is decent this time around. Does that mean FFXIV is bad? Not even remotely, personally still find it the best MMO currently, good or bad the game is shifting and these changes are just not for everyone...
