I want it to be cool and feel cool. Not to "look cool". I want it to actually be cool. Kaiten was cringe, ikishoten is cringe. Flourish animations are for western swordplay. Leave that stuff on red mage and paladin. It simply doesn't belong in the samurai job fantasy.
