Next Limited Job better not take the crossbow weapon

I'll just be happy if the next limited job is still centered on combat and not... I dunno, Island Exploration or housing or glam. Bonus if they let it play stuff BLU can't, even if that's just letting it use duty support or Squadrons if they're not letting it use the duty finder anyways.

I swear, if its beastmaster, and we never get a full crossbow job because of it, I will be sad. I want a full on ranged crossbow job that can go into regular combat.

There MIGHT be an exception though. There is a difference between a light crossbow and a heavy crossbow. They could reserve one for beastmaster and one for an extra job. Weight class absolutely matters in crossbows.

Beastmasters in general use whips or bells. Honestly would prefer bells because I would eventually like to have a proper whip wielding class ala the Belmont clan from Castlevania.

NOPE! If we do get beastmaster it'll be in the exact same vein as Blu, but rather than being in like only Blu for farming up stuff now beastmaster can party up. If anything they could do more content exculsive to them both, blue/beast exculsive dungeons, exs, raid, etc.

Beastmaster could be pokemon in some sort of shape in form.You could pvp agaisnt npc and other player or creature to train your pet, after that do old content with your pet

I'd love to know how some of you folks actually imagine a crossbow class being visually appealing re: skill animations. There doesn't seem like a lot of flair to be added to the shoot/reload cycle..

And before anyone tries to counter with "but MCH," gun-fu is a trope that exists, and at least adds some visual over-the-top flair.

Maybe I just want a class that shows up and doesn’t have to matrix dodge their own projectiles.
It could be a more tactile class in the sense that it uses pvp demicasts to emphasise the illusion of drawing the crossbow.
It could fire exotic projectiles or have shockwave recoil effects.
It could just be a really big crossbow.
It could be a half magic class with the crossbow supplementing the more flashy burst. Or being a more subdued burst after a flashy filler.
Not that it matters, as if people play with animations on anyway.

I'm predicting it is Blitzballer. Seems too perfect a synergy with the whole oceanfaring, beach vacation vibe. Especially since Mesoamerica is THE ballgame epicenter of history.

Personally what i want for a limited job is them bringing back the G-Warrior, and incorporate the various weapons into it.

Doesn't Beastmaster use whips.

It kind of depends, in FF8 for example the whip was used by Quistis. And while the game didn't really have a traditional concept of jobs, if she were to be assigned any, she would've been a Blue Mage.
