I was actually predicting almost this concept myself. I was thinking it would be similar to Zidane and Serge from Chrono Cross and was calling it "Swallowtail" in my head.



The thing is, they said before that new jobs probably would be largely original concepts moving forward, so I'm not really sure why there's so much prediction leaning on preexisting concepts.

Largely does not equal all and there are still XI players who want to see their favorite jobs return. Call it wishful thinking.

I just mean that I've only seen predictions for things that are already established in Final Fantasy, Corsair, Green Mage, Pictomancer... all things that are one-off, but still rooted in the series. I've not seen much of anyone trying to think outside of the series.

This is the day we learn that the game is made for everyone, and not specifically for any one player. Corsair was never confirmed officially. People just really hyped themselves up for something that wasn't even mentioned.

As for the job trailer, do you guys really think a lv 100 Viper is only going to utilize 5 moves for it's entire rotation? Obviously, this is just more teasing.

Thank Halone it's not Corsair. I was accepting of it at first, but I'm glad to get this instead. Been clamoring for a real dual sword DPS, sword on the back and fast paced.

Funny that the TMNT shirt was just Leonardo as the hint, though he could of wore a shirt with a viper on it.

A lot of us still chill in XI or just quit, moved on from XI. One of the reasons many (Not all) cling onto XI, is due to all the weird a$$ $hit in XIV lol. We know XIV is a far cry from XI.....and we know all the BS XIV players deal with in XIV in terms of current quality. Like many XI players, I will do the XIV story, then go back to XI or play Sonic Superstars or some $hit.

Viper does not shock me at all...it is weird, nobody asked for it, and many wanted something other than what Yoshi implements....sounds like the XIV I knew since 2013......
