When people talk about toxic negativity...this is the kind of thing that they're talking about.

Sophia, I've seen your complaint - people only starting positive threads in response to negative ones, you say. You insist that any genuine positive thread the negative posters here won't crash.

Yet, here we are, in a thread that is positive in nature, spurred not by any negativity but by that great idea of the Letter Tree from in the game. And here you and they are, crashing the thread to be negative, putting the lie to the idea that ONLY "not genuine" positive threads are attacked by the negative people.

You guys crashing it to inject negativity are being toxic.

You can realize that truth, or you can live a lie, but you can no longer tell people that you respect genuine positivity and aren't just spreading negativity and are only "critiquing the game". Neither Fenyx' posts nor yours here are "critiques", and you have literally hundreds of other threads to offer your "critiques" (which aren't critiques so much as they are insults and negativity for the sake of it). If you don't see why people are saying you aren't offering critiques but are instead just being toxic, this is why.

Anyway, I'll say no more on it, but I encourage you to share something positive if you wish, and if you don't, to just leave be and let those that wish to do so, do so. Take one day off - or at least one thread off - and let people have their moment. It won't hurt, and it's a worthwhile thing to try and make other people's day from time to time.

Now this is a genuine story, which is something rare, it's usually always "good story vs bad story" on this forum, but this is just you sharing your story for the rest of the forum to see genuinely, glad to read the game has helped you this much.

This video here, this trailer that was made all those years ago to end 1.0. Sure, you might argue that it was done only for corporate reasons. I, however, believe there is love in this act. They didn't have to do this at all. They could have just given us the "Please look forward to it." approach and announced things ahead of time and gone the dry corporate route but they didn't... There is passion in this, there is love in this, there is care not just for their craft but because they felt like they needed to do this, and all the work after this to do right by us, their Warriors of Light.

That love they've shown is reciprocated by me, and I am sure many others in Eorzea.
This world of ours is SUFFOCATING in apathy, indifference and entitlement. In all my many years of gaming, no one has conveyed through their work the love and care the 14 team does. This rising event, and all the ones before this, are amazing and tie all of us together in a way I never thought possible in a virtual world. I finish them wanting to give Yoshida-san a hug. I will always be grateful for that feeling, grateful to be part of something bigger than myself, grateful that I can be Tygaera Silkypaws, one of many warriors of light in this world.

I must say it is truly disheartening to see such mundane, shallow and selfish motivations in this thread. The entitlement is so thick you can choke on it. There are millions of people who play this game, how can there be people so tone deaf and absorbed in their own narratives in this day and age?

This world is bigger than you, and your own personal beliefs and agendas. When I started this thread, all I was trying to do is reach my hand out and maybe find other people who have loved this experience in this virtual world.

Sadly, we can't have anything nice, or light-hearted, or kind because there is always someone that has to be the way you are being. All I can do is pity your short-sightedness. I was trying to give everyone a chance to have a wholesome interaction with the community. If your mission was just to be a jerk and bring people down and ruin something that could've rippled joy into the world, then I guess your selfishness has done that.

I must say, it is a bad look, and will reflect poorly on you in the future.
