Considering you won't be able to tell if someone is on an XBox or PS ... it doesn't matter at all.

It wasn't lack of trying.
A vocal minority doesn't reflect the community. Never has never will.
I primarily play on PS5 and on and off on Mac and PC versions, game releasing for xbox is just a positive imo. More players are a good thing.

This is the best mmo community by far. That doesn't change because you deem it the other way around. You chose to put a microscope on idiots. Focus on the positive instead.Xbox is involved.
Never seen so much vitriol thrown at people just because they own an Xbox.
Twitter, here, Reddit.
Absolutely disgusting.
Wonder which group of people are going to be the target of FFXIV's anger in a few months? Who will be blamed for everything?
(Note: I do not genuinely believe this is the most welcoming MMO. It is one of the least for new players. Toxic positivity- LOTRO, Neverwinter, and SW:TOR outshine it).
You might not have played many MMOs if you believe FF14 has the nicest community. At the very minimum, LOTRO is far, far nicer (and more intelligent) than this one. Neverwinter isn't too shabby on Xbox (not played on PC), and SW:TOR is more upbeat in general chat, although there are a few twats (but nowhere near as much as FF14).
The FF14 community is only happy if you are positive about the game. As soon as you say something negative, you get attacked, gaslighted, blocked, called a liar, etc.
Or unless you have any kind of critique or suggestion for the game to improve.
Because then, YOU are the problem.
I mean it's dumb by nature of the game being on pc Microsoft is already making money on ya. Besides Sony is just as shady.
