Re-read the post better, I bought the few ones that I wanted, which were also the cheapest; the rest was gifted minus the whale that has 8 seats, and also I certainly as hell did not pay MULTIPLE for my alts as the post I quoted did, it aint comparable

The point is you bought from the shop too. So calling others "the problem" for using it makes ya a hypocrite.

I like the look of it, but I have so many mounts I don't use already that I feel no desire to buy another.

I can. I'm just never going to. Maybe if Alpha was replaced by whichever minion you had out at the time of summoning the mount and slash the price at least by 60% maybe it'd be worth it, at least for me. Until then I'm sticking with my Regalia and Landerwaffe.

See, now this is something I could get behind. Minions disappearing during 70+% of the content I'm doing is annoying. Adding just a layer of more minion visibility would make this worth it.

That being said, I'll probably still buy it eventually.

Anyone take a look over at the JP forums to see how (or if) they're reacting?

The Alpha in the sidecar makes me feel like it was made more with the JP fanbase in mind than NA/EU. I have no idea if the mount would be seen as expensive by JP standards since I don't play other JP games and have no idea how their cash shop transactions get priced.

I guess another question would be how the price compares to similar mounts in the cash shops of NA/EU produced games. WoW and Guild Wars 2 seem to have a standard price of US$25 for their cash shop mounts (GW2 price after calculating gem cost) but I could only find single rider mounts, no passenger mounts. ESO has 3 passenger mounts on their cash shop for 5000 Crowns each (closest Crown bundle would be 5500 Crowns for US$39.99 so 5000 would be US$36.35 if you bought that bundle - hi predatory pricing). New World does not have mounts yet (looks like they're being added in October).

So the price here doesn't seem to be out of line with other MMORPGs. I know that doesn't mean that players like the price or think it's appropriate but it's obviously a price that the game industry feels enough players are willing to pay. I doubt you're going to get the price changed outside of the normal annual discount sales. Too many will happily pay the listed price because it's not a large enough amount of money to concern them compared to their overall income. All they're concerned about is getting what they want and nothing said will change their minds.

Yes, I've bought a few mounts from the cash shop in the past but most of those I have were gifts from friends back when gifting was still possible.

Mostly I ignore the cash shop since there are plenty of in-game rewards I like as much or more. I'm not going to die because I didn't get something from the cash shop. I promise you that you won't either.

The Price is okay but there are 2 things that I don't like.

1. Alpha in the Passenger Seat
2. Every Race, except Lalafells looks out of place on the Passenger Seat. The Look and the Animation looks like some drunk People created this. So my Money says NOOO, we do not buy ugly looking things.
