I'm a simple Mentor. I get CT...I eat the penalty so no one else has to. Not like the roles will insta fill up as soon as I leave anyway. Hell you can probably do it with two full parties missing anyway these days but it's not like that it will ever be that bad.

Actually with only 1 full party might actually make it an actual raid since it's introduction.

You're not going to believe this, but...

I got Aurum Vale in leveling roulette.
The tank was a new sprout.
We cleared the first room, and in fact the entire dungeon, without any issues or deaths.
The tank was facing the 2nd boss the wrong way, and a couple of us got clipped a few times, but it was fine.
People actually ate the fruits to clear the debuff at appropriate times.
After we clear, the tank says they are new at tanking and asks if he did okay.
We tell him he was good, and one person commented he could work on boss facing but otherwise great job.
The tank is grateful for the advice and thanks us all for our patience.
We all went our separate ways on friendly terms and no one (I assume) went and screamed on the forums about entitled "you don't pay my sub" babies who can't handle criticism.

went it comes purely to DF I don't get mad at anyone or anything, if we wipe... we wipe. The content is made to be cleared anyways, tho I have to say I find extremely funny when people fail mechanics at nier raids, also daresay it has the most fun wipes in-game lol

I play in rpg - roleplay game. Healers is a heal role. So heal please. I as paladin have great unicue heal spell. Why I must ignore him for +100 dps? This skill describe me as paladin who can protect and heal.

I play in GAME. Not in speedrun simulator.

Feel free to play as you like, it's your character. But from my perspective, it's not about trying to speedrun, it's more that being at 100% health all the time simply is not necessary. It is a healer's job to keep you ALIVE, not to keep you at 100% HP. There is a saying in gaming: "the only HP that matters is the last one." As long as you have 1 HP, you are alive and fully functional. Anything above that is just a safety buffer. Sure, it's good to have a reasonable safety buffer, but trying to keep the tank at 100% all the time is not realistic. Especially since a second later you're just going to get hit again and not be at 100% anymore. There is such a thing as "too much healing."

Imagine you're out for a drive, and your gas tank is only 90% full. You would not panic and immediately start looking for a gas station to fill up. There's no reason to keep the tank at 100% all the time. It doesn't make your car work better. It doesn't make you a better driver. You're not being irresponsible if you don't fill it up every single chance you get. You just want to keep enough in the tank so that you're not in danger of running out soon. And a healer wants to keep their party members healthy enough so that they're not in danger of dying.

Same. Especially as a healer, the game is often more fun and exciting when people are getting wrecked and I actually need to get serious. A run without incidents can be boring. One of many reasons I prefer to run with real people and not Duty Support or Trusts.

To the sage in A I encountered in Copied Factory earlier today:

Please fix your gear before queuing. Watching you die to every single raidwide or even leaving a toe in an aoe was funny the first 10 times, after that it was just pitiful. I'm not sure why your party didn't kick you.

the last few days i worked on potd 50 on an alt. i knew the waiting times would be bad but it was terrible. then the wipes on bosses for stupied avoidable reasons. but yeah there are nrw players not knowing how to play, thats alright.

but the absolutely worst were the silver chests. even though i got pretty much all of them i was stuck THREE times on the next floor because most of the chests buffed only my weapon but not the armor. und doing three extra rounds with these waiting times arent fun at all

i asked myself if asking other players to help me wouldnt be better and faster... but to reach floor 50 they would had to baby sit me through 80 floors which i dont want to push on players who dont even need it.

Copied Factory designed for 1 healer, not a big deal with loosing the second healer, I bet nobody even noticed that Sage.
