Pretty sure Japan weren't the ones trying to destroy entertainment franchises just because an author or actor had an opinion they didn't like. Or do massive edits to entire lines of books that have been in publication for decades just because they think little Timmy would read the word "fat" and get his feelings hurt...

Or butchering people's artwork with poor edits then claiming they "fixed" it.

I have a furry friend who won't play FFXIV unless Hrothgals meet his lofty expectations. (Them being more bestial than human, like their male counterparts.) So he's sitting here waiting for fanfest like "They better tell me if I'm gonna play or not." I have a strong suspicion we're going to be waiting a lot longer though. hahaha

Im not a fortune-teller, and I dont work with the Devs or the Company....but I like to think that Showcasing and Announcing Female Hrothgar this upcoming Fanfest would be a Good move, since there has been so much discussion around it.
And I think it would create alot of good Press and Buzz IF we are surprised with Hrothgar Headgear. Probably not ALL headgear, but alot of headgear: especially some that have no business not being wearable. But, Im getting ahead of myself. There is a good chance we will hit the same issues...but at least Finally getting a reveal would stir some good hype, and perhaps like your Friend, sell some more units...or...codes.
