    Goku in Dragonball is a minor.
    Goku in Dragonball Z is an adult with a wife and kids.
    Goku in Dragonball GT is an adult with grandkids by this point, transformed back into his kid body (imagine the fountain of youth), but still very much acts, and behaves like an adult. Is called grandfather still even while being in that child body by his grandkids.

    It really depends on which Dragonball show era people are trying to reference to.

    As a side note, one could probably assume that Gaia is the same age as her in this case.

    Or has that already been confirmed somewhere? Hadn't paid attention to be honest.

    The same page of the preview of Eorzea Encyclopedia 3 says Gaia is also 17.
