Goals for the game: Continue to enjoy the game with a person I can have quality time with in-game, either casual and/or high-end content. To spend time with that person throughout the day if possible.

Goals for the marriage union: I'm not interested in getting married in-game, I just want to have a partner I can play with, spend quality time with.

Has any marriage in FFXIV actually lasted longer than a few months at most?

It's not truly an FFXIV marriage without a spicy divorce and your house getting auto demolished at the end, or spicy drama in limsa shout chat.

Ironically my in game wife and I have lasted about 10 months now. She is with someone IRL and has a child. I'm single by choice IRL. We have a really good friendship. We both understand not to cross each others boundaries in regards to romance IRL. Marriage is possible in game as long as both parties understand the expectations and respect them.

That seems to be the nature of things here though. Asking up front really seems like you're asking to find a stalker or someone creepy, but even that aside... it's just kind of hard to set emotional boundaries. I mostly just want the glams and mount but I wouldn't mind making a new friend but... I just feel like the type of friend you'd be asking for in this scenario wouldn't be healthy.
