Wish they would have used the resources to improve existing races with more subtypes/more faces/tattoos/combination possibilities - than to create new races tbh. Especially as the dev time already seems limited, and now they gotta adjust a trillion gear pieces to a new model and a new head again.

Was about to say this, you beat me to it! But yeah, SE would be VERRY DUMB to say no to money. Here's the deal, the cute/humanoid crowd is what we have already in the game, there is no shortage of them. The Beast/furry crowd is not entirely here, male Hrothgar helps to get the male furry demographic but the female furries are not being given anything so why would they come? They are not engaging with this game due to a lack of options for them, so bringing female Hrothgar in is quite literally bringing new people to the game, so more money. Keep in mind that some of those people will be furries, who miraculously have deep pockets and you can imagine that they would be willing to spend extra for the Mogstation items. I know I will after female Hrothgar get added.

They have already tacked the "improving the new races" dilemma unless you didn't notice they already tried to update male midlander to have the WOL's beard/stubble. But to do that they had to add a brand new head cause the engine is finicky to work with. Apparently, they would need an engine overhaul before thinking about improving the races.

Whatever the problem is, the new races are not to blame for it. They are easier to add than reworking the older races. As much as I wish it wouldn't be so, since more options are always good. We will have to see what will come with 7.0, where they confirmed a visual update to textures and based on the pictures they showed, some extra polygons.
