if that's a stretch, this is a long run. I'd rather seem them work on something else. You can do the emote thing. If its anticlimactic though luck <_<
You're ruining my beautiful thread.... <,<

Besides, with 2.0 comes a new graphics engine (and if it don't? well, I may not be here), which logically should accommodate a lot of other stuff (I say should since isn't the current graphics engine being used the same one used in XIII/XIII-2? Both of which which which make it look like the engine could easily accommodate this kind of stuff).

thing is, they have a motion capture studio. it costs money to hire actors and such, and they need to do so for every new emote. plus the time it takes for the graphic team to put the effects and the coders to code them in.

not to mention the time put into designing it.

ffxiv isn't a profitable enterprise atm. they can't afford to waste time on jewels when they are starving.

hell, there isn't an emote for getting on top of the chocobo when summoning it :P

I won't disagree with that (except to say there aren't that many motions that should really need an actor for motion capturing it seems like), I was just saying that after playing XIII-2 I'm really wondering what the current engine is, and that it's quite well the reason for the big overhaul in the first place - the graphics engine they claim can't handle a lot of stuff going on.
