Ah, pretty much describes my husband on the spectrum! How fascinating

Sexuality is NOT the same thing as your gender identity. He can be genderqueer AND straight at the same time.

Thank you for expanding on why Urianger is an amazing representation of AutismAsperger's-type autism, and a lack of grasp on social cues.
When you're first introduced to the Scions as a group, everyone else says hello and he quotes prophecy at you. Then he does it again when you meet up with him in Il Mheg and you're now an old friend he hasn't seen in ages. He apparently will go on lectures about his favourite subjects even if the listener seems disinterested. He used to be the kid who would rather spend his time alone in the library than play with others, and picked up his overformal way of speaking from reading old books.
While it isn't something that has remained the case, his old outfit with the opaque goggles gave the impression of lack of eye contact as well.
There also is a thread of him being quite emotional but often not good at processing or expressing it, which is an actual Asperger trait more than the alleged lack of emotion that is often the stereotype.
He's a character with a lot of facets though, and I've loved seeing him get a bigger role in the story.

That is your point of view, why make a huge thread about it?

Ah yes, that's what Urianger was missing, a label. Now I can truly enjoy him for who he reallllly is....

Titanmen is the lifeblood of the forums.
I nominate Van as the lifeblood instead.

I'm a gay... and I always read him as a gay as well.
I've had friends like Moenbryda who would get WAY too flirty with me because they knew it would make me uncomfortable and awkward, which gave them a good, lighthearted laugh. I cared for these ladies very much. There is a real argument for him being gay despite all this (and despite this being a Titanmen thread) just based on my own lived experience.
They intentionally write a lot of characters like this, possibly so people can project their own thoughts onto them (see Gaia and Rhyne) and also because some countries would ban the game if it had openly gay characters, and being a global MMO, Square isn't going to give up money just to have an openly gay character.
