Have you ever heard the adage "Actions speak louder than words"? What about "Money talks"?
SE is a business. They can claim that they care about the playerbase's health or what have you, but at the end of the day, if their product is failing, they will have to acknowledge the negativity.
'Cause as of right now, it seems like a lot of "This game is awful *stays subbed anyway*", which holds absolutely no weight whatsoever.
To not get too far into it, we have a current example going on in the world that shows boycotts do have a huge impact if there are enough people who feel the same way.
So long as the people who are unhappy are still giving them money, nothing will change.
And I'm not talking about just a small dip in active players like the steam charts show. That's normal expansion downswing. If you want to get their attention and make them actually consider what they are doing is not what people want, the numbers have to back it. They have to make SE pause in their tracks and wonder why people are leaving in droves.
Stop making hollow threats on leaving, 'cause right now, they're calling your bluff.
So like it or not, money talks.
