Stop waiting for cutscenes in alliance raids. We never did this in Stormblood.

Not once since started playing did ever hold ones up because of a cutscene. If you want to watch them you should say at the start. Some have the option to skip seen cutscenes not turned on, just to make ones wait for them to end. I have seen that a few times in duties.

We totally waited for people in HW, SB, ShB, and we have waited in EW too.

Not queueing is a solution.

Just pull your weight if its about your precious " Time ". Use Pots and Tinctures and stop sucking at dealing DPS with whatever Job you're taking into said raids if those 20 seconds matters that much to you...

9 out of 10 times we wait for people to finish watching the cutscene. It takes few seconds. This is only true for the most recent alliance raid. For older raids, we wait for the majority of players to arrive at final boss and pull.

I always waited for cutscenes. It was always common for people to try, because you would see the Ready Checks, but then the Ready Checks never got answered by half the alliance so they weren't useful.

But fortunately you don't need a Ready Check. You can look at the party and alliance lists and if any of the players have a dark shade over them then they are not here yet. When they are here, their cutscene is over.

Do you want mandatory, non-skippable cutscenes? Because this is how you get non-shippable cutscenes (See Prae/Castrum).

Whether you like it or not, this is way out of line with the devs design method/planning/goals, which is to create a welcoming place for new players. IE, the devs will 100% work to make sure 1 new player doesn’t feel rushed/left out/left behind even at the expense of a few minutes for veteran players.
