The entirety of the Scions are light-skinned. And Thavnair is quite literally inspired by South Asia - the developers said so.

They're obviously not Japanese/Korean though? Look at Hien and any of the NPCs from Hingashi. They look very different from the Scions. In-game Japan and China/Korea are Hingashi and Doma... They all have black eyes.

Also this is literally the problem no? They were instrumental in actually telling us about Dynamis but they were quickly forgotten once we finished Ranaspati... They helped us but they basically didn't show up at all after Lv85, outside of like one or two guest appearances.
