Level sync did cause this, allowing one to level a character without experiencing the higher level fights that requires tactics and brain power. That guy was obviously a Dunes nublet who stayed sync'd at those levels for a great deal of his play time. PL doesn't do much other then making people fail at making parties and survivability since they are so used to someone supporting them from outside.

As for gear you could pick up better gear then what he was wearing for less then 1k a piece, with the ONLY exception being the GKT.

ppl been like that since Power leveling was a standerd and no one teaches ppl as much.
And as for gear go play ffxi now and try to find gear under 70. If you do its about 4K+

It was funny to see, but level sync did not make people "noobs". Players not teaching them, getting PL daily is what made ppl "noobs"

And not the fault of a system if ppl abused it. I liked level sync as I could party with my friends and LS mates.

Back on track time! Favorite memory was getting my af back in '04 as a drk. Worst memory seeking for a party literally for a 7 days, 6 hours a day with not a single invite as a drk. Also amazing friends and LS's were some of the best memories as weell

I had one time just before the major TP Fix on Dragoon where it seemed like no one would invite me to a party. I was getting pretty bored.... then learned I could spam Pentathrust if I timed everything right so I started soloing and got to 75 on my own... Then they did the TP fix and I was sad.

honestly also. Who really started the "fight"? I just put in my 2 cents on the thread. I seen ppl like the guy the thread was about WAY before level sync. Gear issues included. It was just an opinion though. You didn't even need to reply it and call me a troll as If i started the fight.

Ontopic ya it was funny, and I saw that daliy once treasures was out. Around this time ppl stop doing the mentor program and just PL'ed ppl. Or did PL for money or skill ups. Newbies ended up getting PL due to the lazyness (their word not mine) of having to lvl sub jobs, alt characters or accounts.

So yes it was a good read and does make me miss ffxi.
I'm happy my money issues are clearing up so I can play again.
