    LFG gripe

Yes, the LFG system has been improved. No, it isn't where it should be. One of my major gripes about it is how you can't put in auto-translate text, or copy/paste from it. This creates a language barrier between the different language communities in the game, since I have no idea what someone is LFG for unless they write it in English. And while you're at it, give us multiple options for "Preferred Class", since some of us can fill multiple roles and is willing to do so.

I think the bigger problem is that few people actually use it. Sure those things are issues, however if no one uses the system then it really doesn't matter.

You can select multiple preferred classes.

I agree that the addition of auto translate in the comments box would be handy.

Arcell has a point that not enough people use it, its not as transparent as the system used in FF11, they could do with splitting the function and having Seeking for Party and Search as different options in the menu.

We can set multiple preferred classes now I think. Give it a try.

The lack of auto-translate is a problem though. I agree. Currently shouting does have that intrinsic advantage over the Search system.

EDIT: Ah! Jinko, we posted the exact same thing!

I don't even care about auto translate right now. I just wish people would actually use it. I have LFP for hours just to go to UL'dah and see multiple parties shouting for members in my level range. I have also been in parties where the leader stood in Ul'dah shouting for long time until I decided to do /who and find members for the party.

While auto translate would be a great addition, it still won't get the current players to use it before and during their UL'dah shouts.

The player search would work fine if people used it, but most of the community is afraid of meeting people so they refuse to use it untill we get a pretty green ! next to their names.

well on our server of Sargatanas yesterday was chat war in shout. one person was talking about not being able to find a party and he/she has been shouting for hours, but they were not using the search function then when people told that player to use the search function he/she said "why should i." thats just being part of his problem.

it can work if people used it, and you wont have to stay in ul'dah to see the /sh its not even hard to use.

This may come as a surprise to you but most foreign countries understand at least some English. I daresay "LFG/LFP" is internationally recognized by every gamer on the planet, or very close to it. Considering this game is mostly Europe/Americas/Japan...its safe to say everyone can understand if you're looking for a pt. Which is another thing..PT is internationally recognized as standing for Party.

The ultimate problem is ppl dont use the system. If you flag yourself for a party you have no need for LFG in the comment box. Describing your desired purpose is a bit harder but you'd be surprised that most ppl can understand simple English words.

I think a big help will be when the LFP flag is visible over the players head. This will help remind people that it exists, as well as help with pick up groups.

I'd also suggest moving it to the macro menu, and the party menu as well. But time will tell.
