What temperature is too hot? Mine is running at around 45 degrees, with around 7000 rpm on the fan.

Actually, more like 6000 rpm for the fan. I have tried holding the fan when the computer was running and it made no difference to the temperature, infact the hottest thing in my computer was infact the fan!

According to AMD the max temperature on your CPU is 70°C.

Sounds odd that you see no increase in temperature if you halt the fan, and the fan being the hottest?

Download and run Prime95 to stress the CPU and monitor the temperature, idle temperature means little, it is what the max temperature is when there is load on the CPU.
