Aglaia was pretty sweet for the first one in the series
Euphorsine..euphrosyne? Is pretty underwhelming mechanically/difficulty wise by a fair margin.
They're both visually fantastic though

They are fun casual content. Aglaia is the better of the 2. I run them once a week for the token (and then I don’t bother gearing secondary jobs and it sits in my inventory lol). My favourite series remain the Ivalice raids though. As for the Nier raids, they have more engaging mechanics than the latest raids but the setting is completely out of place and non sensical in this game (and that white decor in the 3rd one hurts my eyes). The Nier universe would have been more fitting for a limited time event.

The best part of the current raid IMO is it's clear they learnt from Nier and Ivalice. I know years down the line I wouldn't mind if these raid pop up in my roullette. About the difficulty ... I think it's part of the power creep. This week I queued in on a 599 DRG to need on the glam (instead of 630 jobs I usually do) and boys I died an embarrassing amount because the mech is actually punishing. Since the raid drop 620 gears, I think by synch lock it to 600-610 will help make it a bit more challenge.
I also prefer Aglaia, but's that because I'm bias toward any fight with irregular arena (Rhagar)
Also:
Everyone: Halone looks amazing!
Me: isn't her hair Ramuh's beard?

I'll never understand the hype behind Ivalice. They were never really difficult, just time sinks. Same for Nier. I like them both but Myths has a nice flow to it imo (much better aesthetic imo) and hits a sweet spot in terms of difficulty. Not to mention some of the best glams and music we've had in the game.
I enjoy getting the EW stuff in roulette. These days if it's Ivalice I want to hear Cids epic monologue. If it's not his raid then meh.

It's because of the setting. Even when it was current, the opinion was pretty split. Most of the interest for it was because it was treat as the love letter to FF tactic, which is one of the game people hold in very high regard.
Also, it was difficult. Maybe not to savage raider, but for the random casual joe it was. I don't think there have ever a raid that wipe group as many and as often as Ivalice. Nier on the hand, wasn't difficult, and indeed was just a time sink because of bosses were just an HP sponge.

I think it's because the Ivalice raids in general had more "individual/alliance responsibility" more so than the current 24man raids and also because you saw every mechanic/attack the boss has thrown at you fairly early on (meaning they mix and match mechanics much sooner, making the fights more engaging and difficult/fun). The current 24man raids may look nice and have great music, but the fights are extremely underwhelming compared to Ivalice. Every boss is handing us a single cube of cheese to savour every few minutes and once they're ready to give us the main course (where they mix and match the mechanics they showed us one at a time for 5-7 minutes), we've already defeated them and moved onto the next fight.I'll never understand the hype behind Ivalice. I enjoyed both raids. The visuals, boss design and overall story are nice. Though Halone deserved her own piece of music instead of that rodeo soundtrack, and I can't say I'm a fan of the jpop soundtrack. Also, both of them does seem to be suffering from powercreeping already. IMO I wasn't a fan of Nier in general because I honestly feel like the whole aesthetic made my eyes tired. Ivalice keep being my favorite stream of raids though, probably because Stormblood was easily my favorite combat as well so I get the best memories from that one. Also, the glamour was unmatched.

They need more nasty mechanics right now its almost just stand in stupid and pound on the boss kinda, which is sad.

Ivalice wasn't really hard though. Bosses just had a trillion HP, so everything took 3894 years to kill. People just needed to be max iLv which they are now.
The Bozja raids are far more interesting if you ask me.
CLL has the coordinated Top and Bot boss kills, the part where you have to save the prisoners and work together to make sure you get as many chests as possible, and it also has the Lyon DPS check.
DR has the "Get hit twice, you die" mechanic, which meant you actually couldn't just stand in stuff and get topped back right away. It also has mechanics we haven't seen anywhere else, like Hot and Cold or Queen's Edict.
Dalriada has the hallways, with people having to call the safe lanes and it once again required teamwork to get through the challenge. Lanes still mess up parties to this day.
That's what makes interesting group content for me.
In that sense, Euphy is rather tame, though it's worth mentioning that the Southern Front content was (and still is) different than how Alliance Raids have always been.
