Squeenix X Puma crossover completely forgets about female gamers.

FYI: there are a TON of us- was disappointed to see the entire crossover collection is men's clothing, didn't make me want to buy the hat. (yes i recognize i can wear a pair of mens sweats and a chonky men's t-shirt - but it would have been nice to have a couple items included that fit ladies bodies)

It's funny, because I barely see men wearing puma, in fact, I don't think I ever seen a guy wear puma products. Like puma is the most basic white girl brand possible, I don't see how they could have fumbled the ball with this.

Puma in Japan-land is basically “school kid casual wear” for boys and girls. Including young 20-somethings. It’s considered casual wear or gym wear here. Like “gonna pop out to the 7-11 lemme throw on these sweatpants” casual.

Edit: would also add puma has a lot of collabs here in Japan. I guess you coulda gotten in USA too but I haven’t lived there in like 15 years…so I dunno.

Stuff like animal crossing hoodies or Pikachu shoes.

In fact you're SO mad about the things you're never going to buy even if they were there that you made a thread about it so you can sit here and be mad visibly about the things you wouldn't have bought not being available.


Not to mention as "mens" items they're pretty unisex anyway. Sweats and tshirts aren't really "fitted" items most of the time. So you probably COULD buy the things you don't actually want but are complaining don't come in sizes and fittings that would restrict the "womens" ones to particularly petite or non-traditionally women shaped people. They also DO have womens fit shoes which are the one item that really needs to be particularly sized to traditional gender divisions.

To be clear - I'm not mad. and no I am really not that interested in this particular promotion (though maybe i would have been if there was a cute ladies tank or tee) - however, the next promotion, or the one after I may be very interested in. I'm simply making the point in the forum so maybe squeenix sees they missed an opportunity to include women in their promotion, maybe next time they will remember us.

Not really.
I like the street wear in game but I would never think overpriced graphic tees and sweatpants would be ideal (the shoes look nice though). ｡ﾟ(=ヮ=)ﾟ｡
