I don't really know how many people you're interacting with, but there are people on reddit and in different FF14 discords that genuinely like it.

And there are plenty that consider this step very lazy. Though there has to be a ton of people who enjoy it ande as a company you would want to rake in the most profit with the least amount of work. If there are plenty of people ready to throw money at a brand then it would be silly for a company not to prioritize them over the "vocal minority". Sure, it can erode what made the game fun to many who joined when the game came out but you know what they say: out with the old, in with the new! Foresight is just a liability!~
