6.35 hairstyle

This is proving sufficiently controversial that it needs its own thread rather than half-taking over others.

The new hairstyle released in 6.35 is a very short crop:








I've seen people saying it is based on the chaos-killing Jack from Stranger of Paradise, but have not confirmed.

I think it's just one of those things that is going to work for some faces and not others, and it's a good thing to have in the game for variety.

I'm guessing some faces can make it work...definitely looks more appropriate for male Hyur (possibly Roe), though.

Hah, all good.

I think it works well on the female Highlander in the preview pictures, and maybe the Elezen (I don't know what's happened to the quality in that screenshot; it's like that in the patch notes).

Still waiting to get into the game and see what it actually looks like on characters. Probably won't buy it at day 1 Materia marketboard prices.

Probably not a hot take, but I think it only looks good on Hrothgar which means this is an elusive Hrothgar W even if it's not my cup of tea on any other race. I hope the cat dad's like it as much as I do on them. Really suits their proportions and fills a niche that has been sorely lacking: a very short style for every face shape.



I honestly do not think we have too many very cropped hairstyles. We haven't received one as a modern aesthetics in many expansions in favour of medium length and ponytail styles. It's just not super well fitted for the races that aren't Hrothgar in my opinion. Big forehead syndrome all around.

Not a hairstyle I will be trying hard to get. Wish they added a long hairstyle with it.

Looks really gorgeous on female highlander in the preview. I think it's a good hairstyle to have as an option, though I assume it will be mostly used for male characters. Though, I think it's nice as a more butch style for females also.

I think its a nice change of pace especially for male characters. There aren't enough masculine options for males vs. Females
