Before they added in additional ways to get the items you needed for the third step, the only ways to get them were to spend a fuckton of Gil, or be a maxed out Crafter and go grind materials from the original Diadem that apparently was so unwanted that it's one of the few bits of content actually removed.

The issue isnt Eureka.

The issue remains that those exploratory zones after they are no longer current have not been future proofed. Bozja was busy then...it aint now. I CAN solo these mobs, but its bloody slow going, not to mention pot luck on when or IF I can find a group for CLL etc.

So freaking disappointing. In Shadowbringers we had Castrum Lacus Litore, Delubrum Reginae, Dalriada, Bozjan Southern Front, Zadnor which all gave me the feeling that im actually playing a MMO with hundreds of other players.
And Endwalker is literally like
Step 1: Give me 1500 Tomestones
Step 2: Give me 1500 Tomestones again
Thanks see you in 3 months or so because thats how long it takes now to deliver content you finish in 30 minutes.

Yoshi AND some of his team. So yes when Yoshi is asking SE for more money to hire more people and they say NO then pull resources from a game he feels needs some allocating of resources. Yes it's like your job is down 1 or 2 cuz they quit..then upper management takes your boss and 4 other employees to go work on another project and expects you to keep pace. Well now you went from needing to do the job of 1 other person to 6 and that would cause a lot of strain

Relic should be the main focus of the content but this iteration is so bad (besides the quest) that i honestly don't need to even bother focusing on it,ill get the tomes i need for the weapons there is no point in grinding or trying to go for them it'll just happen,Ive already gotten the GNB one and ill probably get all the tomes i need for the other tanks,RDM and DRG just by doing Orthos (which i enjoy a lot btw)
and this shouldn't be what relics are about you should have to work for them like sure ARR and HW had some tome phases but there was also multiple phases where you had to focus on them,
these weapons just feel like tome weapons more than Relics to me.

I cleared Baldesian Arsenal on Primal DC about a month ago. There are regularly scheduled runs on all the NA data centers, to the point where they often cap and people are fighting for spots since BA is the only way to truly finish those weapons.

That said, as someone who finished all the ARR relics, all the HW relics, all the Bozja relics, and is now picking away at Eureka weapons: I VASTLY prefer turning in tomes of Astronomy over other stuff. It becomes a choose your own adventure. You can grind it fast, you can passively grind it slow. You can do hunt trains, you can do roulettes, you can farm whatever your heart desires, and probably pick up some astronomy in the process.
