    There are some outliers in Normal that do need to be "fixed" like Singularity Reactor being offensively easy compared to almost anything before it, it really ruins the climax of the base HW by being practically AFK-able.

    As for the most other Normal content? It's often fine for casual players, the changes they made in the old dungeons have been vast improvements compared to the originals even though they are really easy for veteran players.

    What they need is to have more intermediate level content that falls somewhere between Normal and Extreme and go all the way up to Extreme+ to have a proper stepping stone for most people to access the harder stuff.

    Most of your threads are full of elitism. Now while I do believe something needs to be done about the skill gap, pushing players away isn’t it.

    I’d rather go back to when we could tell people they were bad. Stop dumbing down the duties that already exist.

    But according to Dixiebell; players are bad. Content too easy. Mentors need to be current savage raiders with tier 1 pvp experience and every node under the sun gathered.

    Pure elitism. Let the game be a game. Not a job where you need a resume stating you have a degree and X years experience

    Dungeons could definitely stand to be a little bit harder... They don't need to be roadblocks or anything, but Alzadaal's Legacy gave us basically a punching bag as a boss to fight.

    For other "Normal" content, Alliance Raids have kind of been kind of a joke in terms of difficulty for both Shadowbringers and Endwalker.
    But they won't get any harder because apparently the devs consider Orbonne Moastery so impossibly hard that it's the only Alliance Raid with an Echo buff...

    We don't need anything between normal and extreme. People need to get their gear & rotations right and focus on learning the fights. That's all it takes to bridge that gap.

    You're absolutely right!

    And if you look at their tome cap thread, you'll find they contradict themselves by basically asking for the best gear to be handed to all their jobs right away so they can steamroll the content.

    This won't necessarily result in an overall better player base, really.

    What I mean by this is; Those who want to get better will get better regardless of the level of content they do. Comparatively, those who don't want to get better, will not get better, and the people in the category of the latter will just burden the former. This is why I am against an increase in the difficulty of normal content.

    What I could get behind, however, is an extra difficulty level to help better prepare people for the more difficult content, and then use this extra difficulty level as a requisite to enter the more difficult content, e.g., savage or extreme, rather than the only requisite simply being to finish the story.

    Well Deveryon, to be fair, 610 crafted Rinascita or upgraded Rinascita IS pretty easy to come by. So to be balanced, it isnt the BEST gear, but its definitely the best if you dont go the savage / extreme route....then theres the Causality gear..a lot slower I grant you but it does help.

    One still needs to play the game of finding BiS for their job and mix in tome gear, but even that isn't too bad and only takes a few weeks of farming.
