You're right but 45 days is far too little, quite obvious SE just wants to lock people into a sub, they don't care about vacant plots. Something along the lines of 3 months makes sense. You’re aware that this is necessary, right? The housing wards would be awful right now if the original buyers were never subject to auto demolition. Imagine how many plots would be abandoned because someone acquired a house and stopped playing. Imagine how much gatekeeping would occur when someone willing to decided to vacate a plot..
I especially enjoy it when they streeetch content into x.5 patches which are conveniently a month or two after the main patch to trick people into staying subbed longer/
If they had enough rewards to keep Ranked PvP active, I wouldn't need most other content.
I just wish we didn't have so much emergency maintenance.
It feels like there has been a lot of it recently.
But that wouldn't serve it's purpose.
Players who stutter sub for the story, play a week for msq once every 3 months and then vanish again, could hold onto a 99% unused plot indefinitely.
The purpose is to free up plots for active players to use.
Theres so much to do in this game, the patch cycle is perfectly fine. And thank god theres no mandatory bs to do like in other mmo's. That stuff kills the enjoyment of the game. In ffxiv you can do what you enjoy.
Can we remove silly weekly/daily lockouts and silly FOMO incentives from this game then please? I'd like to do the content at my own pace and then get on with my life until the next patch.
There is a difference between allowing a break and forcing one. If Yoshi-P wants me to take a break so bad if I finish the content, then why won't he let me finish the content and move on? If he wants us to take a break, then why is PVP FOMO incentivized to force you to play during that series to get those rewards? Unreals are seasonal patch content. Your favorite trial but at 90?? Make sure you play during this patch which funny enough...is also a weekly lockout XD. Hell even the ultimate when it releases is a weekly totem lockout for some reason. Don't forget about limit housing with demolition D:. Alliance raid, tome caps, etc. If the motto of XIV is to play the game how you like and then take a break until the next patch, then why are these systems in the game?
People are fine with the 4 month patches because this community is not only fine with but eager to devour literal crap if it came from SE. I wouldn't bother asking where the line is for some people because it seems like there isn't one SE can cross that'll get people to admit that things aren't perfect.
Because you're the one choosing to do it, not him. He isn't forcing a gun to your head. Sorry, but it's a you problem. Can we remove silly weekly/daily lockouts and silly FOMO incentives from this game then please? So angry, so edgy.People are fine with the 4 month patches because this community is not only fine with but eager to devour literal crap if it came from SE.
