The game has a huge problem and it seems like square enix just threw their hands up in the air. Don't ask don't tell, don't play.

@Poporito I sound "paranoid" because I don't feel comfortable playing a video game that has no security measures and an extremely active toxic mod community. Interesting. There are better things to do with my life than risk security on a video game. You people mod fantasia instead of buying it, you mod cosmetics instead of buying them. You have interest in these things, but no interest in paying for them. This is tons of lost money. If not for mods, you would have to pay for your interests, like everyone else who doesn't break the rules.

I think that they should delete anyone's account who has used fantasia mods. You stole from square enix.
    A few thoughts:
1.) Third-party tools and mods used by players cannot receive any kind of data from other players, save what the client makes available naturally. You are at no point at risk of any sort of compromise in this regard. Even ACT can't pull the kind of data you seem to be thinking of.
2.) The hell is a Fantasia mod? You can't force the game to give you items. There are third-party tools for temporarily adjusting your character's appearance, but that's entirely client-side - no one else is able to see it.
3.) A not insignificant portion of the player-base is only still here because of their access to third-party tools and ability to mod the game. Bereft of that, there would definitely be an exodus. Would it be a majority? No, but it would be enough for SE to notice the dip in sales fairly readily.
4.) Most of the people that do choose to use vanity mods tend to be of the demographics most likely to make a lot of purchases from the Mogstation, including Fantasias. Especially Fantasias.
