The only thing you really need to know for this is that the morbol lurking near one of the hiding spots will detect you by sound rather than sight, so you can stand near it as long as you walk rather than run when you're close to it.
Beyond that, I can't imagine taking more than a few rounds of trial and error to figure out which obvious rocks and trees you need to hide behind. If anyone is genuinely stuck on this, I would question how they ever got through Thancred's stealth mission before it.
The main thing with that quest is that you need to be ready to dash around to a different side of your hiding place because he suddenly runs down to check the far side of it. Besides that, I don't recall it being any harder than this one, if maybe with a few extra stops. That one? No. Now the Quest Children are our future where you do the same but with a Garleanboy? He can go and die out in the cold. That little brat did a lot more stop and starts, back tracks than any that are littered throughout the MSQ. Said quest is an aether current quest too.
See, when I was doing this quest I wasn't expecting him to double back and I was being a little impatient. If the OP is genuinely stuck on the MSQ one in the same zone and says they're going to buy a story skip that won't also complete any side quests so they'd also never get flight in said zone. The only thing you really need to know for this is that the morbol lurking near one of the hiding spots will detect you by sound rather than sight, so you can stand near it as long as you walk rather than run when you're close to it.

Actually, story skips will unlock flight automatically. The aether current sidequests remain playable but you don't have to do them.See, when I was doing this quest I wasn't expecting him to double back and I was being a little impatient. Tough luck. Many people on these forums agree that Final Fantasy XIV has the best gameplay of any MMO, even surpassing many single-player Final Fantasy titles. Critics gave Endwalker a 92 on Metacritic. If Jesus made an MMO, he probably would've made this one. In fact, given that FFXIV saved Square Enix from death while God is still smiting people today, I'd say FFXIV is good candidate for the Second Coming. Suffice to say, clearly you don't enjoy our critically-acclaimed gameplay and story, so you should probably stop while you're ahead.Tracks in the Snow
I hate that girl in green and I want her head removed from her body so bad. I've tried over and over and get pissed off beyond belief that I don't return to the entire EW zones for months because I don't want to even have to think about that B.
Anyone else ever get stuck on such an insanely stupid idea of a quest that you avoid almost everything to do with it?
Now excuse me, I have other games to play (Yoshida said I can take breaks).
stuck????
i did that quest very easy without fail. Pretty sure everyone know what to do in that quest, literally just hide behind rock/tree

Imagine living in a world with as many games as we have and only playing one. That sounds boring as hell.
I fail a MSQ duty the first time I will watch a video of it and pass it the next time around. Not sure why you just don't buy an EW MSQ skip potion instead of keep doing the same quest over and over.
I honestly don't see how anyone could be stuck on this quest as long as the OP claims to be unless they're one of those 1 braincell so can only use 1 button ppl...
