I underlined the part that is relevant to multiple house ownership. That is why "owned by buyer" is a thing when it comes to FC houses. If the character who made the actual purchase of the plot leaves, that FC house is no longer "owned by buyer" even if other characters from the same service account remain in that FC. Additional FC houses can then be purchased on the same world and service account.

It is not unintentional on SE's part. If they did not want players to have the ability to have multiple FCs with houses, they wouldn't have added in a way for the owner status to be removed.

You can stress the word "maintain" if you want, but what does it really mean? Do I "maintain" multiple FC houses because one of my alts is the FC Master of a FC I maintain for my use and for friends to hide their alts in when they don't want those alts to be in the same FC as their mains, because this character is a member of a different FC with a house also on Coeurl and because I also run the workshop for my cousin's FC on Marilith?

"Maintain" means nothing in all of this unless SE chooses to post a definition of what they mean by "maintain" in the purchase guide.

Do I like this? No, I don't. As far as I'm concerned, it was a very bad decision on SE's part.

Yet it was the decision they made. I'm not going to take out my frustration on players who are doing what SE allows them to do. I'm going to ask SE to change the system.

All those multi houses abusers trying to defend their business and practices in this thread is embarrassing, like really, I love the FF14 community but the bad apples are just so sour and taste awful, on the topic though, why make housing instanced when the current system is already supposed to work as intended, did you actually even visit a friend house, or actually decorated a house? like there is an FC house plot right in front where I have my current house plot, and still there till right now, and that house plot is owned by an FC that contains 3 players of lvl 5 to 12, and all I can imagine they were as well one of those submarine farmers, because the house inside is simply empty, like a default empty house that has literally nothing inside, the house been up and around for like years, since Stormblood days, and I have never seen those FC members even come around, hell it was annoying that I even thought to relocate somewhere else many times, just because of how default it looks and how empty it feels like an abandoned ghost house, but there are at least some life around with the people around me, like a FC that is active owning a large plot, and some people in small plots. so yeah hoarding house plots like that simply kills the vibe of having an actual ward of houses with neighbors around, and by doing that you are making the wards instanced already, just to satisfy your own greed and selfish personality, nothing you will say will sweeten that picture, no matter how hard you are trying to justify it and sound like a good person. like for real.

Legacy, 1.0, etc. My first 2 FC houses were inherited back in late 2.x to early 3.x. Now some Western public opinion of new players has shifted and ya'll want to demo that? Get a grip.

On a MACRO level, SE shoulders blame for pausing auto-demo (reduced supply), keeping housing prices low (increased demand), and being unable to expand servers/housing at a time of peak subscriptions (increased demand).

It got posted on several sub discords so anytime a single person says anything against sub farms you get 20 replies about how subs are totally fine when used by a single person who owns an entire ward filled with completely unfurnished homes.
And when they are not defending it they are making mentions such as "having neighbors sucks anyways lol", "we don't actually make that much money lol its just like 50mil per month passive income lol"
Honestly if they had just kept quiet I would have lost interest, but now I want to make sure there is always a thread up, always bumping it and already sent several reports and mails@SE against the worst offenders.

Because the data we have after thousands of trips cumulatively, is around ~14m for 4 submariners per month (~115k per sub per day)

Also, I'm in team #removesubmarinegil.

I wanna see what other excuses, you people will come up with when there's still a shortage of ward houses after submarines have been nerferd.

Lodetsone data shows:
~20k active characters on any given NA server outside of Dynamis and only 9000 ward houses.

~70% of the houses are owned as personals. ~30% are owned by FCs.

FCs of 4 or fewer members(including shell FCs) make up less than 5% out of the ~30% ward housing owned by FCs.

That would mitigate the problem. It would not solve the problem.

The game has too many players at this point and too much demand for house ownership.

Sure, you can take away the extra houses from the multiple house owners but they're a tiny percentage of the owned plots. What next when there are still not enough houses for every player that wants one?

On the side not, I'm not sure if this is NA servers housing issue, genuinely in my server which is EU server, I can go check the wards around and there are multiple house plots, like even last 2 days 2 plots became available for bidding in my ward. Not denying that I spotted some multi house plots owners who is doing the same dumb idea and name them all with 1 name or 1 tag.
