New housing skin

If you have a cottage and enjoy decorating the yard, think carefully before investing in buying the new housing skin. It takes up a considerable amount of yard space and is difficult to place any items with a large footprint (like the Garden Gravel) at the front of the house.

Still, it looks very nice overall. I just wish the hotspring portion was a little deeper.

I haven't tried out the medium/House skin on my personal yet to see how it compares. I'll have to see if my FC is planning on switching to the new skin for their large.

If anyone else has switched to the new skin, feel free to add your comments.

Edit: got the medium up on my personal house - it works much better with plenty of room in front of the house to decorate easily. Still been looking for any larges that might have appeared in the wards.

I'd love to come look at that medium skin. I'm thinking about it but won't buy it until i see it in game.

Was going to actually craft the medium till I saw how disappointing the Onsen section was. outright feels like a downgrade from the small. Sure its a nice "pond" feel, but overall it has a less detailed covered area, if not even smaller than the small's as it does not really sink into the house at all along with isn't fully covered.

Oh well.. guess that was a sink of mats to never be used for me.

Could you post pictures with/without a bright dye preview? Curious to see how it dyes if at all.

I really enjoyed the medium onsen walls so far. The onsen fits with what I need (and you can sit on the side stone as well!), and there's also sitting area on left side. I will keep this more after I use Forge walls all the time

The large walls are amazing. Such detail, even around the back of the house is something to behold.

I'm still finding yard decoration for the small frustrating a day later. Very tempted just to use Garden Gravel, a Far Eastern Willow and my garden patch on my FC's small and leave it at that.

I'm also annoyed when I log onto my character that is the FC master because of the camera collision between the doorstep and the fence. I wish that had been better thought out.

It's still very cute if you don't care about going into yard decoration detail heavy.

I'm extremely happy with the medium skin (have on my personal house and my Marilith FC's house) and a couple of FCs that I know with the large are also very happy.

Other than white, dyes on the roof tiles are fairly close to what you'd expect from the dye color examples. The GP Dark dyes show their color more clearly than they do with most gear. I'll try to get a few different sample posted later today (if no one beats me to it).

It is just the roof tiles (on the house and fence) that are affected by the dye. The tea bench with umbrella in the front corner and the cloth hangings don't change color.
