...It was just pointed out. The materials for raid-level crafted gear... come from raids.

It's essentially a tradeable part of X drop. Combine it with others and turn it into whichever drop's equivalent you desire, with the ability also to force particular secondary stats.

I may have scanned through some stuff. It sounds awful. The closest we have to that is map dungeons dropping mats for glam. I'll take that over having to raid to try and make a profit.

Well, in order to get raid quality item level, you need to get untradeable materials from the raid. So that, mostly.
