Probably because they made it really obvious. Although, they can choose to prove me wrong my queue syncing with me in casuals so I can take a little peek at what they're actually doing in matches to see why they frequently get quickchat spammed. They also mentioned that they don't see the quickchat spammer after that match. It's not because they got banned. They probably stopped queueing in matches to dodge the player! LOL!
A screenshot or playing with them would indeed prove whether or not they are bad but calling them out without any kind of proof is something the whole 'Guilty untill proven innocent but even if you are, you're still guilty' people would do, not only that i have gone through this multiple times and have been on the top of the leader board with best dps or time on objective. the fact you are trying to dismiss the person and insult them like this tells me alot about your skill level and you as a person.
They need to have a function that just auto-mutes the player after spamming the second quick chat of the same thing in a row. That way you don't have constant "Nice job!" alerts. After the second one, it's auto STFU.
I'd say after the third one then it's auto STFU. I need to place 3 'Retreat and group up' before people actually stop griefing the entire team and stop staggering us.
I played PVP when you could type into the party chat and it was funny when people would rage about the smallest things so I understand why they took it away. I wouldn't mind the chat spam as much if we could turn off the calls attached to it.
It's typically the same players who are spamming "nice job" after a full wipe or defeat.
I get it, we lost and you are frustrated. I don't appreciate your sarcasm dripping passive aggression when we did our best.
The problem is that if your best is not pressing Purify or Recuperate, then you need to improve your best.
I don't use Quick Chat, but I have no problem with people who use "Nice Job" after people start dying at full MP. There is no excuse for it.

Purify works perfectly well. It's Resilience that doesn't work well.
So the solution is to stop expecting Purify to do anything but break you out of that specific stun or silence, not every stun or silence for the next few seconds. Timing Purify in FL is a bit of a crapshoot simply because there are so many potential sources for stuns, but in CC you should not be having problems identifying windows where you can safely Purify and bail out.
If you are getting chain CC'd into death, then you are overextending and you need to pay closer attention to your positioning and timing. It's that simple.
k, we'll pretend you're right and I'm a very small dps. We're pretending I don't just SUCK at this game, I'm the WORST at this game. No one is worse at this game than me. We're accepting ALL of this as a pre-condition.Well you're the one who revealed yourself to be a bottom damager first by complaining that you frequently get these quickchat spams, champ. It's almost always the bottom damagers that will complain about this stuff. It's very easy for me to read stuff from people on the forums regarding pvp, and know whether or not they're a complete anchor or not in every pvp match. Stop being a snowflake. It's pvp. Toxicity always happens. Just deal with it. Just because you're in FFXIV doesn't mean you're safe from the rage of other players who are begging you to press buttons properly. If it's too unpleasant, just take a break from it. Or you man up, go to a discord to ask for advice from other dedicated PvPers, and just get better. Trust me. You'll see quickchat spams less.
Is it okay for a person to spam quickchat as a response to me sucking at the game, but trying my hardest?
You're arguing it's okay to harass people who play poorly because they play poorly.
