I have no issues with bots as long as they aren't lalafells, I feel like this is why people are so against them.

And what exactly gives us the right to do so?easiest way to solve this would be to simply automate the RMT reports if the sprout is a trial user. if more than 5 people report them for RMT advertising and they're a trial sprout who hasn't completed their first dungeon (sash) then the game should just automatically "mute" them for 24 hours and disallow them from using any chat outside of instances.
People would abuse it. People would misuse it.
The only thing this would maybe clean up is advertisement bots anyways.
We could stop free trials to cut down on bots.
Free trials have zero impact on that.
A free trial cannot sell stuff to anything other than vendors.
A free trial cannot use the MB.
A free trial cannot hold more than 300,000 gil
A free trial cannot use retainers.
A free trial cannot trade.
Okay sure, it was a turn of phrase, but the majority of them were. Maybe you were one of the 5 on Page 2. But all of Page 1, and almost half of Page 2 were bots. Out of a total of.. 2 pages of Sprouts. lol
Also just checked right now, in what I'd consider a peak time for FF. 25/60 Sprouts are bots.

What happens if you have 1 real account and 47 free trials doing a bunny fate?

Really? When they suspended free trail during EW launch, a lot of bots went MIA. Also, if you think they can't haven't figured out a way to get around some of those limitations I got some farmland in Florida to sell you.
Farming methods like this are why I'd be in favor of them just axing the gil drops from dungeons entirely.
They already stopped doing it after HW, so why not just purge it entirely and replace it with rewards that are still valuable but not as easily exploited for gil?
