Over on the new NA servers, people constantly using foul language and mentors kicking people for asking them not to sware in chat.

Either start punishing power abusive Mentors or just remove the Novice Network, It's literally just a chat room for memes and power abuse.

Clean it up, Use it as intended.

Game needs better teaching resources for all mechanics. and it grows after every expansion(for the novice, to the Aged Ultimate)

I've not been in Faerie in quite a number of months after moving to Balmung but the NN there was probably the shining example of what the NN should be. We were nothing if not helpful for all the sprouts and would even do hide and seek challenges in which sprouts could win gil or minions.

However I have heard quite a number of horror stories about about NNs...and most mirroring exactly what OP is saying.

I've successfully seen the amount of wait time for a NM in eureka grow.
the same can happen in Novice network.<can't tell how it is in my world> but if people with the mind to help and change became mentors, the toxicity will get the boot. [though curious to any mentor out there.., can mentors kick mentors or are they safe. if so, just outnumber the trespassers] also sprouts should get taught when to report. I doubt The Gms would tolerate those actions. but again, sprouts don't know. and can't really do much alone.<and the usual, it paints everything bad.>

When I DC travel to Tonberry, their NN is pretty chill most of the time. Meanwhile in other JP DC, mostly is just people mistype in wrong channel

The issue with this is there are far more power abusing mentors than people willing to work on building a better community.

The moment you try to fix things, they just remove you from NN.
