I'd presume it would be linked to the rest of the region through DC visit.

In fact if it wasn't, it would almost be a non starter unless you really want a house that badly, given what I've been hearing about what Materia's going through in terms of queue hell due to the lack of population (I could swear I've seen people post that they've been suggested by mentors to unsync not just extremes but even ordinary story trials as sprouts on Materia because of how poor the supply of roulette players is and the resultant queues).

TBH it might even still fail to thrive for exactly that reason: because of the housing factor the population is likely to heavily skew towards veteran endgame players transferring over to get land, so I'm almost expecting an even more hardcore atmosphere than Aether (an atmosphere that's already making me strongly consider moving my Gilgamesh character to Crystal in the near future) and horrid queues for the new players that SE hopes to attract ...

I think there will be a lot of shuffling around within the current 3 and many flocking to the new DC to make something of it. Perhaps a more JP style PF / DF community could pop up.

The vast majority seem to be moving for a chance at housing (judging by housing discords, general chatter in and out of game, the Dynamis discord, etc.) with some wanting to "go out west/see a new frontier" so to speak. I predict all of the personal houses to be gone within the first or second lottery with a mass exodus back to the original DCs afterwards from those not starting FCs/those who havent found a good reason to stay, followed by angry threads on the forum and other places demanding more housing.
