Im sure there is, i bet theres quite a few Japanese players that would like to see the missing genders too.
This is certainly a very popular thread, so I hope they read it and comment something here![]()
It would be very very nice if they did. But the last mention of the genders we got out of them was from a blindside question at E32010
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
New team, new hope!

I would really like the missing genders to be added personally. :\ It gets a little old when I have to correct people on which cat actually has a guy behind it because they always say "She said this" or "She is really cute" or they start dropping hints that they're being flirted with and flirted back (assume both parties are male and one of these parties plays a female character, and the first party isn't aware of this). It creates very awkward situations.
Not to mention I had ENOUGH of people in XI asking me if I had man parts to make sure I wasn't a manthra. It's still kinda like that in XIV.
I know not everyone will switch, especially if there isn't some sort of option given by SE for a race change after such an implementation, but I've met several people who WOULD change given the option.
People like their options. :\

I always like mithras/miqote(however it's spelled) but i'm not a fan of creating female chars. My bro finally with XIV just created one but we both would love to choose a man cat.I would really like the missing genders to be added personally. I hope we get a response within the following months, but who knows. =\
SE conducts themselves in some strange ways, and even if we do get an answer... it might not necessarily be a straightforward answer. I'm expecting something along the lines of "we've thought about it, but we still don't know when it will happen".
