The man has his pride. Magnai could stop talking, but then would that satisfy himself having a mate if he can never speak out of fear of what his spouse might think? Nay! Magnai deserves a Nhaama worthy of him that will lpve him not only for who he is physically, but also mentally as well. Even if he does need help when it comes to talking with women. Thancred and Alphinaud should help Magnai with this. Both of them clearly have a way with words and say what you will about Alphinaud, but you cannot deny his boldness and way with getting a woman's attention back in his academy days. ;3

Really? Whilst it's a nice idea, I never really saw much other than mutual respect, and occasional displays of admiration, between those two. In fact, I'd say that the whole 'is there a romantic attraction from one or both parties?' trope is a little overused, with their being a few examples of it throughout the game.
