Clarity on whether the PvP Series 1 "Archfiend" set will be available any other way?

I have no problem with them bringing it back either into the Season rotation or put into the collar or mark vendor at a later date. The time alloted to earn it normally is pretty generous but of course not everyone starts playing or gets into pvp at the "right" time so yeah make it available again down the line.

Making it available again, or a lesser variant at worst, is fine by me. I would question if they made it immediately available in the next season however, as what would be the point in working towards the 'ultimate' reward for that particular season during the season?

I got it and I don't think it should remain exclusive. It was a reward for reaching malmstones, and if they let you buy it for trophy crystals you'd still have to reach a certain amount of malmstones to buy the set. All past rewards should be available like that so people can get into pvp at any time and be motivated by an ever extending list of rewards.

Yeah, I came back right at the very end to grind it out. I didn't realize how early the game was going down for the patch, another hour (maybe two) and I 100% would have had it. Not shifting the blame or anything, just noting that I'd have thought the game would go down ON patch day.

Regardless, I think clarity would be great, because I saw a screenshot of a live letter saying the stuff WOULD be coming back? But I don't know which one it was from, or whether that's still the plan.

That reads as earned currency (tokens) carrying over. Right below it is the answer: "previous series' rewards will eventually be available via token exchange".

Probably next series to have it remain exclusive for this one. Would imagine the mount will have the same thing happen and not be available for all till series 4.

In the patch notes it says you can get the previous series rewards from the series malmstones screen. Now for me it shows nothing but I also had all the rewards last series so that's to be expected.
My guess is that the option for the previous series rewards only appears once you get to a higher rank then what you had in series 1.

because they did? the vast majority of season 1 rewards were moved to the Trophy Crystal vendor, Even if the Archfiend set wasn't included in that, it may have been an exception as the 'final' reward for season 1. If i had to guess, the mount in season 2 will be the same way.

Personally i like it this way. having most of the rewards being available for Trophy Crystals, but excluding the final reward for finishing a series feels fair.

Open your malmstones. If you have any unclaimed rewards from Season 1 there'll be a button to swap your malmstones back to the Season 1 chart. It'll allow you to claim any leftover unclaimed rewards. As soon as you do claim them all, the button goes away. Even when swapped over, it's for claiming only, you cannot earn exp towards it, that season is done and over with.
