    I like it and I really like the workshop just a simple thing i can check on and gather daily and once i get all the rewards like glam,hairstyle and motorbike i can just use it as a easier way to casually get gunmetal and pearl dye.

    I think its a nice little think I can do when I come home from a long workday and do for maybe an hour or less.
    Maybe in the future they can add a few more things to do there.

    What precisely did people think this was supposed to be? I always assumed it was going to be a basic Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing/Stardew Valley experience because that's how it was presented, and that's more or less exactly what I got. I don't remember them ever billing it as hardcore grindy content with a meaningful endgoal. It's something you do casually for cosmetics.

    So after taking a good look at the exchange shop and reaching island level 7 so far, i must say im disapointed in this overhyped Yoshi Guy once again. It has the same issue like the Doman Enclave and Similar content. Once you are done, you are done. There is no point in sticking with this content longer than you need to, it dosent add any long term beneficals for the main game as far i could tell. You cant get resources for the real professions, you cant exchange the tokens in anything usefull (no i dont count the materia as usefull), except from the furnishings you cant sell anything fromt the exchange store on the market (would be otherwise a nice alternative way to earn some money) and there is not even an aetheryte there to teleport there directly.

    At every stupid corner of FF14 is and Aetheryte, but when you travel to the Fareyman to visit your island again there is not even another cutscene that shows you on a ship travling to your island. I allready didnt expectet much from this content, seeing how SE behaved during the last years, but im still disapointet. The island could have been something nice to hang out or a different kind of content with replaybility like the gold saucer where it is rewarding to come back and doing the minigames again and again. But no SE screwed up once again.

    I was expecting something less than those games, but it's not even remotely close to those games. As I said, it's not even as basic as Farmville. It's more like...idk...one of those town building sims?
    Also as I was expecting it to be as per descripton wheer you pick what actitivties you wanna do, rather than havign to do everything/what the game wants you to do.

    I don't think here mentioned hardcore grinding content but you.

    Barely anyone mentioned instanced housing, and more in the sense that the development wold have been less wasted going towards that. Nothing to do with expecting this to be instanced housing, since we always knew it was nothig to do with housing.

    We got the equivalent of Tropico except we're the NPCs sent out to gather the materials. I personally enjoy that style of game so to me this is a fun addition.

    It just depends on your taste. If it's not for you then that's unfortunate but plenty of other content in the game to do.

    Sorry, but no. It's an MMORPG with a monthly subscription. There should be things to do and updates constantly so that we don't run out of things to work on. Unreasonable? Not even remotely. Everquest 1&2, Lord of the Rings Online, ESO, and WoW all have things to be doing constantly. And while I don't like the current grind of WoW, I do play on a private WotLK server where it could take you years of playing every single day to get maxed out. But in FFXIV? Here's one new dungeon, one new raid, one new trial, and an island that is time-gated after about an hour or two of gameplay.

    That isn't enough to last anyone more than a week. And that's a problem.

    I don't like it much. Main thing what kills it for me there isn't anything to explore, what a surprise from the developer who can't make exploring engaging.
    Pirates used this, where are all the hidden caves and possibly lore bits like notes and such? Anything really, but nothing. Very disappointing.

    Mammets or whatever... Why? Why can't WoL build the place bi by bit? Oh, that requires a new way to move objects and animations + can't hide behind the black screen? OK carry on.

    Island Sanctuary is a mobile game inside of an MMO. Change my mind. Atleast you can semi automate things with granaries but meh, was hoping for an entertaining way to get noncombat materia but nope.
