I don't think it's the WoL who wants to become friends with Zero. If anything it's the other way around. While she also is trying to figure out what that word means. Think about it she's from a world where friendship used to be a thing but it also has been a dog eat dog world for a few thousand years that word holds no meaning any longer. Then there is the whole who she even if it was for a short time was seemingly forcefully bonded to and how that individual defined the word friend.

Anyone else wonder if our reaper Avatar situation is like how Zero's was? Or is it because Zenos did what he did in order to use her as his Avatar that it is seen as a one sided pact? I loved how Zero was all "what is food and why do I need to eat it?" I'm glad Zero isn't as trigger happy as she could be cause we'd be down one Nidhana. Why and how Cloud of Darkness seems to be dead dead makes sense as she probably ate a lot of others.

Another thing I like is that not every voidsent wants to eat others due to the possibility of losing one's identity.

I'm so glad Elidibus mentioned thar he had parents. For a while I was thinking Eric was an outlier. Yet Lahabreha gets all we can bump uglies and have kids that way, but it's not the only way. Which makes me go wait were Ancients like the dragons? Were they also making soulless kiddos via creation magics? Also dude stop looking at my WoL as a possible research subject. I don't care how interesting I am due to my aether being as thin as a fine mist. While you think I should also be hitting things like a wet noodle due to my thin aether. I wonder how much Venat told Azem and Elidibus about us or that she just spent some time with an interesting familiar that looked exactly like Azem.

There's a dialogue option that addresses this.

If you go in as Reaper, and then tell her at one point that you're nothing like Zenos, she'll say that your pact with your avatar does seem to be more equitable than hers was. So, while we still don't know anything about the voidsent we're bonded to, at least we know we're not exploiting it like Zenos was her.
