The dream is to one day have Blitzball...
But failing that. Something with the spinny mechanic from the new boss would be awesome.
I made a whole post about it a few years ago, but they should add a FF7 Battle Square:
https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...is-in-place%21
I'd also like to see more additions to Chocobo Racing:
- Being able to dye your chocobo if it is maxed rank, so you aren't at the mercy of RNG when starting the breeding process and getting stuck with a color before you realize it. Think of it as part of a "reward" for max ranking your bird.
- Flying courses, this seems like a no brainer. Just make "rings" that you have to go through.
- If flying courses are too much work, at least I'd like to see more regular courses.
- Maybe add a new currency tied to chocobo racing and provide separate rewards you can purchase from that, or just add new rewards for MGP somehow related.
Basically I would like a reason to actually do Chocobo Racing again besides just the MGP reward itself. I need 797 races/wins? to get the 3000 achievement thing and I can't bring myself to do it anymore once I did the math on how long that would take me for no real reason to do it.
I don't want to spend almost 40 hours JUST to get an achievement and some MGP, I'd like that progress to actually work towards something new, or anything really.
FFVII's Battle Arena, a single player time attack where the objective is to last as long as you can, with each round giving a new handicap that also increases the payout the longer you can last.
There would be a handicap added with each round successfully completed, that could be things like "half total HP/MP", "current HP reduced by 2/3rds", "broken weapon/armour/or all gear broken" (as in, it's condition reduced to 0% condition), "main stat reduced by a third", "level reduced by 10, 20, half", plus "random negative status effect" (debuff), or specific debuffs like Poison, Slow, Heavy, Silence, Amnesia, or Vulnerability Up, etc etc, or Item command disabled, Magic abilities disabled, ALL abilities disabled for ten seconds, etc etc.
And there would also be beneficial handicaps, such as "All Negative status effects removed", "HP/MP fully healed", "Gear Repaired", "Wall" (which gives Protect/Shell/Stoneskin for twenty seconds and thus increases defense), etc etc. And there could also be a random no handicap too. Naturally the trade off for a handicap would be bad things would greatly increase the payout, so as to balance things out.
It should go without saying that there would have to be a bit of balance turning for all classes and Jobs to be able to do this. But I think the BLU's Masked Carnivale has shown how this sort of thing could be done, and thus I think it would be a fun thing to have in Gold Saucer.![]()
Would have liked to see them just add a 4x4 mode for triple triad.
FFVII's G-Bike, Snowboard and Submarine Minigames as games or GATEs,
Blitzball, the card game from FFXIII-2, Poker,

I wonder if it would be possible to switch to a whole different programmed interactive setting for the matches... But then, I think the server ping wouldn't change, possibly impacting in a more dynamic result, but hey I'd love to be surprised!I think blitzball is more complicated since we don't have 3D combat system and the interactions in 3D spaces (like underwater) are so imprecise when we need to interact with especific objects there or when we are flying.
However, if they want to put blitzball, they definitely could do it!
in FFX I confess I don't like it much though...
What I wanted is a battle arena just like the one in FF7's Gold Saucer, where you fight hard 1x1 battles for a chance on differet prize boxes containing a random items;
Mandreville Sumo Wrestling: Dress in your best subligar and go four rounds against random characters in Eoreza to see who can push the other out of the ring. The winner of all four rounds gets the honour of wrestling Godbert Mandreville himself; the undefeated champion!!!
